The Story of Lily and Yoda

I was looking through my pictures and I found this picture of Yoda taken a year and a half ago when I adopted him. Everyone knows Lily and Yoda today, but no one knows the stories of where they came from, so I thought I would share it with you.

A year and a half ago I was volunteering at our local SPCA shelter and that is where I met Yoda. He started out in a little cage in their office and didn't do very well in there so they moved him out into a kennel with about 4 other ...little dogs. He really didn't do very well in there either because he was getting picked on and spent most of his time huddled under the dog bed that was in there. After seeing him go through this for a few weeks I couldn't stand it anymore, so I adopted him. Actually, I ended up adopting 3 other little dogs from the shelter too. What can I say, I have a big heart. ❤️ 😊

Now, Lily's story is a little different. I have only had Lily for about a month and a half now. She was one of many many donkeys that came from a bad situation of back yard breeding gone bad. A very nice man saved all of the donkeys in this picture from a ranch in Texas that was over populated and they just wanted to get rid of them. Sadly, there are still many more donkeys left behind at the ranch. But, these donkeys in the picture are the lucky ones because they all have found new homes. The little spotted donkey front and center in the photo is very lucky because she came to live with me. That's right, it is my Little Lily. She was quite a mess and underweight, but what a difference a month and a half makes.

Now, all that matters is that we have all found each other and we will all live here at Pair A Dice Ranch together forever.
